QA Scholarships
Pat Seger QA Scholarship
Pat Seger was a child of deaf parents, a nationally certified
interpreter and a long-time employee of St. Petersburg Junior
college. He certainly could have rested on his laurels; instead,
he was an active member of FRID, regularly taught sign language
classes and served as a QA Regional Chairperson for several
years. He believed in the power of positive encouragement and
his cheerful presence on an evaluating team was a calming
influence for many "fledgling" interpreters. Pat died at the age
of 29 and FRID has established a scholarship in his name to
defer the cost for applicants. If you would like to apply for
this scholarship, please fill out the Pat Seger QA Scholarship
application and return it to the address listed on the
application.
